Our beliefs are deeply rooted in the enduring spirit of the Napa Valley, a spirit that reminds us that excellence is earned, not rushed. Over the years, we've realized that a great bottle of wine is as much about integrity and patience as it is about the skill needed to make it. Every step in the process is as important as the last - each choice, each blend. We uphold tradition and trust our instincts, all while staying true to ourselves along the way. What we've learned is that a great bottle of wine begins with intention - an intention to honor the land and respect the craft. Here at Oakham Estate Winery, we nurture every detail from field to cellar. It is our belief that wine should bring people together, spark lively conversation and create moments that linger long after the glass is empty. Our philosophy is therefore simple: make wines with authenticity, welcome others with generosity and treat everyone who visits as part of our extended family!

Our family owned winery is the culmination of more than two decades of experience, resilience and a passion for what we do. What began as a humble venture years ago has transformed into a new chapter - one that rose from the ashes to allow us to rebuild with even greater purpose. Led by Mrs. Susanna Kelham and her son, vintner Hamilton Nicholsen, our winery reflects a love for what we do based in these family bonds, along with our unwavering commitment to crafting exceptional wines. Every bottle is a reflection of our core values - hard work, family connection and the belief that wine is best enjoyed with others. Our beautiful Zinfandel Lane property here in St. Helena is the perfect setting to experience this for yourself. OWNER
A self-made entrepreneur, Susanna Kelham has built several businesses from the ground up to become one of the Napa Valley's most recognized names. A creative mind with an independent spirit, she carved her own path in a wine industry long dominated by established legacies. As the owner of her own winery and vineyards, she personally oversees every aspect of the process, pairing innovation with tradition to produce quality wines that truly reflect her vision. Every step is overseen by her - from nurturing the vines to creating the labels. Susanna's drive and passion for her craft have become an inspiring example of what one person can achieve!

With over 25 years of experience, Hamilton Nicholsen brings a blend of expertise, intuition and genuine passion to every stage of the winemaking process. His dedication to the 'hands-on' aspect of vineyard farming is reflected in every bottle of wine we produce. There's a love of the land he infuses in every bottle. Ham is a trusted figure here in the Napa Valley, with colleagues and industry partners valuing his insight and collaborative approach to winemaking. The quality of our grapes guide that approach. Whether he's out on the slopes, on the tractor at sunrise or pouring a new release in the tasting room, Ham is dedicated to creating an exceptional wine that's infused with a meaningful connection that brings together family and friends. Every bottle is not just a product, but a relationship built over time, with the care and consideration that makes every glass of Oakham Estate Winery wine special.
